Do You Really Need a Blog for Your Business Website?
Not every business needs a blog, but the businesses that skip one are usually leaving a low-cost growth channel unused.

A website without new content has a fixed number of pages competing for search visibility. Every well-written blog post is another page that can rank for a specific question your customers are searching -- "how much does X cost", "is Y better than Z", "how to choose a good X company in Purnea". These long-tail searches often have less competition than your main service keywords, making them realistic to rank for even with a smaller site.

A blog also gives you something to actually share. A social media post linking to your homepage repeatedly gets stale; a new article gives your team a genuine reason to post, gives your sales team something useful to send a hesitant lead, and gives Google fresh content to recrawl.

The businesses where a blog doesn't help much are the ones that treat it as a checkbox -- publishing thin, generic posts nobody would search for, written to hit a quota rather than answer a real question. That approach wastes the time spent writing without gaining the ranking benefit, since Google increasingly favours content that clearly helps the reader over content that exists purely to exist.

The practical test: if you can list five real questions your customers ask before buying, you already have five blog post topics worth writing properly. If you can't think of any, that's worth addressing before starting a blog at all -- the content strategy matters more than the platform.
